Councils & Committees

The Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee has several councils and committees for our members to become involved in. These groups offer members a forum to network and carry out various projects and events.

Remodelers Council

What’s a Remodeler? They’re the people that add rooms to your home, refurbish and update your kitchen and bathroom, build that deck that you’ve always wanted, fix that pesky plumbing leak or light that doesn’t work, and do all of those construction tasks that don’t involve the full construction of a new home.

They’re used to working in homes that have people living in them. They are sensitive to your desire to have your project completed quickly, efficiently and with a high degree of quality, while at the same time limiting the disruption to your daily lives. They offer the type of “hands-on” supervision that isn’t required of most new home builders, and they enjoy doing it.

Our Remodeler’s Council members are members of the Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee that have a special interest in Remodeling. From general contractors that specialize in remodeling, to residential remodeling contractors, to subcontractors available to do specific types of specialized work, to material suppliers..they’re all members of our Remodeler’s Council.

Associates Council

The Associates Council’s mission is to enhance HBAST’s goals by creating networking opportunities through education classes and high profile events and programs. This is achieved through effective promotion, communication and volunteer management. The council strives to create an environment where builders and associates benefit from a partnership while creating positive recognition for associate members, the HBA and the homebuilding industry.

Women’s Council

The Women’s Council is first and foremost an organization dedicated to supporting the professional development of women in the home building industry. The Council serves a dual role in supporting its membership and councils. It provides direct member service to the general membership through education and training programs which focus on professional and leadership development, networking opportunities, and industry related information.

It also serves as a central resource of information and support materials for its local and state councils on issues related to successful council management. In addition, the Council recognizes its role in supporting the overall building industry by mobilizing its membership to assist efforts spearheaded by local, state and national builders associations.
